The Texas A&M Aggies entered into the world of football in 1894. They finished the 1917 season with 8–0–0 record. By doing so, the team earned a retroactive national title by 1st-N-Goal. The Aggies closed the 1919 season with 10–0–0 record. History repeated and the team earned a retroactive national title by ten selectors. The team shut out the 1927 season with 8–0–1 and a tie with TCU in Fort Worth, Texas. The Aggies again earned the retroactive national title by the Sagarin Rating and the Sagarin ELO-Chess. The Texas-Texas A&M rivalry is ranked as the third most-played rivalry in Division I-A college football. Both the teams has faced each other 118 times and the Aggies have got victory over them in 37 matches. The Aggies rivalry with the Baylor Bears is ranked as the eighth-oldest collegiate-football rivalry. The Aggies' 68 wins against the Bears is the highest number of wins that the Aggies have accumulated against any team. The Bowl game record of the team is 14-19. The Aggies have won 18 conference championships; the first 17 Southwest Conference championships and one Big 12 Championship since their establishment. The team play their home games at Kyle Field.
