In an NBA off-season filled with rumors and more rumors, all leading up to shocking changes that affected the entire league, this coming season will certainly be one to watch for NBA fans, and especially Chicago Bulls fans.
These shocking changes, of course, are highlighted by two things: The Cleveland Cavaliers gaining LeBron James and Kevin Love to add to a roster with All-Star Kyrie Irving, and the Chicago Bulls signing Pau Gasol, Nikola Mirotic, rookie Doug McDermott and veteran guard Aaron Brooks, after missing out on signing Carmelo Anthony, who stayed with the Knicks.
When do we get to find out what a Bulls vs. Cavs game will look like this regular season? How will these two Eastern conference powerhouses match up?
We’ll find out early on in the NBA season, with the Bulls home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Halloween, falling on October 31st. The battle of these two NBA monsters will be a thriller, to say the least, and Just Great Tickets has seats available for this can’t-miss game for any true Chicago sports fan.
Although LeBron James alone is a force to be reckoned with, the Chicago Bulls have an MVP of their own in Derrick Rose, who is back, looking healthy, and receiving high praise from Team USA coaching staff. Rose will be supported by veterans Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah, and Kirk Heinrich. Add that to the athleticism of contributors Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, Mike Dunleavy, and the new talent of Nikola Mirotic, and the Bulls seem to be a team composed of diverse talents and roles with a deep and reliable bench.
In the midst of the changes to the Bulls and the Cavs, the two teams with the highest odds to win the NBA Championship from the Eastern conference, as of right now, are the Bulls and the Cavs. High expectations are cast on both teams, making each of the teams’ four matchups all the more exciting.
Many analysts are also reminiscing back to the 80’s and 90’s, when the Bulls eliminated the Cavs from the playoffs five times in a row. However, with the changes the Cavs have made in the offseason, nobody is expecting the rekindled rivalry to be as one-sided this time around.
The Cavaliers rank as the favorites to win the NBA championship with 5-2 odds, over the second-ranking defending champion San Antonio Spurs, with 4-1 odds. The Bulls rank in third, with 11-2 odds as of this week.
Can the solid defense and experience of the Bulls defeat the youth and raw athleticism of the Cavs? Find out for yourself by catching a game October 31st or February 12th at the United Center. Just Great Tickets has these tickets to the hottest Chicago matchup of the NBA season in stock.
