Bruce formed his band, E Street Band and started recording in the early 70s. Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ was his first debut album. He wrote “Blinded by the Light,” which Manfred Mann made a hit by reaching number one. It was Bruce’s only single that made it to number one.
Fall of 1973, The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle album was released, but did not achieve success.
In 1975, Bruce and his band E Street Band started 10 shows a week at a New York club. Eventually, they attracted a lot of media attention and were broadcast live on WNEW-FM. The Born to Run album was released and Bruce finally saw success. Some of the fans considered Born to Run as one of the best rock & roll albums of all time.
In 1978, the album Darkness on the Edge of Town was released and was the turning point of Bruce’s career. Over the next several years up until 2012, he had released 13 more albums.
Bruce had a rough start in the beginning of his career, but he kept pursuing his dream and never gave up. He has achieved great things over the years, and will continue making more great music.
