After the band Coldplay launched their breakthrough single, “Yellow” they quickly became one of the biggest bands with the turn of the century. Coldplay formally known as Starfish is an alternative rock band which started in 1996 by Chris Martin, lead vocalist and Jonny Buckland, lead guitarist while attending the University of College London. After Chris and Jonny formed the British band, Guy Berryman and Will Champion joined them. Guy joined the group as a bassist, and Will joined as a drummer. For the first two years, the band was called Starfish and in 1998 they changed their name to Coldplay.
