Florence and the Machine Tickets
Since the indie pop band; Florence and the Machine first released their unique sound in 2009 with their album Lungs the band has seen tremendous success in today’s music industry. The band consists of singer Florence Welch and a number of other artists who create the unique background music that back Florence’s fresh vocals. When Lungs was first released in 2009, its first five weeks were spent in the number two spot on the UK Album Chart. Once the record really started gaining attention it reached the top spot on the charts; where it stayed for 28 consecutive weeks. It was one of the best selling albums of both 2009 and 2010.
Hot of the heels of their success on top of the music charts, Florence and the Machine began collecting numerous awards and nominations including a 2010 BRIT Award, and a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. They were also invited to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert and the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. Not wanting to wear out their momentum; the band released their second album Ceremonials in 2011; a record that received high acclaim after it debuted at the number one spot on the UK charts and at number six on the United States listing.
What keeps fans so interested in this group is their undefinable sound, as no one seems to know just what genre to put their songs into, with a mixture of pop, rock and soul; Florence and the Machine have been able to create songs that appeal to all types of musical preferences. This has inspired the group to head out on a 2012 global tour. In between their 2012 headlining tour, during a busy leg that will take the band throughout North America, Florence and the Machine will make numerous festival appearances as well, allowing more fans to experience their unique sound live in concert.
