Very few children’s bands have managed to have the type of success that The Fresh Beat Band has had during their career. The group of performers who were once known as The Jump Arounds, are a live action kids entertainment group that tours around the country and performs for adoring young fans and parents. The Fresh Beat band members consist of performers; Shout, Twist, Marina and Kiki.

The band got their start on the television network Nick Jr., a branch of the kids network Nickelodeon, which is geared towards younger children. The band performs on their self titled television show, that features the group singing and solving problems together. The show proved to be such a success that the band now takes their act on the road when they are not filming. They perform original songs, as well as songs used on the show. This includes the groups most well-known tune, a song called “Great Day,” which is used to close every episode of their show. The show and the group have won several children’s entertainment awards and received high critical praise for creating a genre of popular rock-influenced music for young audiences.
The Fresh Beat Band’s tour have shown to be just as successful as their television show. In 2012 they will set out on another summer long tour during their show’s hiatus. These tours take the bands to different large amphitheaters across the country where the group performs their hit songs live for their audiences and encourages participation from all of their children audience members. The tour has received great recognition for combining live music and educational lessons for children as the show takes on several common lessons for young children to learn.
