Eddie Van Halen is the core of Van Halen with what he can do with his electric guitar. He developed a fast technique with a variety of self-taught moves and effects mimicking the sounds of animals and machines. David Lee Roth had a role of a heavy metal singer with his talented flair for showmanship. Together, the two made Van Halen one of the most popular rock & roll bands of its time period. Even with the drama and controversy they have had over the years, they have been together for over 30 years building new generations of fans.
