Brian Setzer Orchestra Tickets
The Brian Setzer Orchestra, often known as BSO, is a swing and jump blues band that is known for bringing the sound of 1950s swing into the modern age. When the Brian Setzer Orchestra first came into fame in the 1990s they rose to the top of the charts with their successful and wildly popular cover of Louis Prima’s “Jump Jive an’ Wail.” They followed up with this success with the single “Gettin’ In The Mood.” The Brian Setzer Orchestra quickly found a tremendous following within the music scene as they provided a song unlike any other that mixed modern pop with swing, jump blues, rock n’ roll and rockabilly. The group has performed at numerous large venues across the country and even at the White House in Washington DC. The Brian Setzer Orchestra also actually has a real orchestra behind it, with members playing the tenor sax, clarinet, alto sax, baritone sax, bass, piano, percussion, trombone and trumpet.
Although the orchestra members have changed during the years, Brian Setzer who plays lead guitar and vocals has always remained at the front of the band. Today they are one of the only bands from the swing revival movement on the 1990s that still has a great deal of popularity and commercial success. In addition to recording new music, the Brian Setzer Orchestra also does a holiday set most years at the Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony. They also tour around the world as well both around the year and during the Christmas holiday performing some of their best original songs and unique high-energy covers of classic 1950s hits.
The bands upcoming tour will be another in their Christmas series of touring events. After concluding a number of shows in Hollywood California, the band will be taking time off until November when they hit the road for their Christmas Rocks! Extravaganza. This show will feature a unique swing and rock-influence take on some of the most classic Christmas songs ever recorded. During the tour, which will last throughout the 2012 Christmas season, the Brian Setzer Orchestra will be visiting fans throughout the country and delivering them with a unqiue and rock influenced approach to celebrating the holidays with music.
