Chickenfoot Tickets
Chickenfoot is a hard rock, super group formed and debut in 2008, which consists of a blend of high-energy rock; funk blues and roots rock music. The band members currently are Sammy Hagar, vocalist (Van Halen & Montrose), Michael Anthony, base player (Van Halen), Joe Satriani, guitar virtuoso and Chad Smith drummer (Red Hot Chili Peppers).
Together, the four members have sold tens of millions of albums and played thousands of gigs over the years. The band’s greatest joy comes from their latest venture with Chickenfoot by starting over and starting something new.
The band released their debut album in 2009, followed by a tour. Their live, Get Your Buzz on DVD was released in 2010; the band released their second studio album, Chickenfoot III in 2011.
The band name, Chicken foot comes from the footprint of a chicken because it looks like a peace symbol. The name originated from their initial jam sessions between the three original band members (Sammy, Michael and Chad) like the three talons on a chicken’s foot.
Chickenfoots’ self-titled debut album earned the band certified gold status in record time. Some of the singles include; “Oh Yeah,” “Sexy Little Thing” and “My Kinda Girl.” The band quickly rose to the top of rock with their shows selling out within seconds. The album opened at number four on the US Pop Chart and opened at number one on the independent music chart. Within the first few weeks, over 180,000 albums were sold.
Initially, the band was planning on just being a jamming weekend fun band, but instead they quickly recorded their first album and soon after began touring the world.
Sammy and Joe gave each other challenges with the hopes of new vocals from Sammy and new tunes played by Joe and pour it all out into their second album, Chickenfoot III. The album is a rip-roaring rock & roll album that must be experienced from beginning to end to feel what the super group is all about.
Chickenfoot is a new rock band with true rock legends making up the band. They have had rapid success and plan on having more success by recording and touring in the future. Chickenfoot appeals to all ages whether fans from the 80s or fans of the present. To experience hard rock legends, you have to experience them live in concert.
