Crosby, Stills & Nash Tickets
The band Crosby, Stills & Nash, also known as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, is a folk rock group formed by some of the biggest folk rock superstars in the industry. The band primarily features David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash. The trio is also sometimes joined by fourth member, Neil Young. Their influence on American music and culture is so notable that the group has actually be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Twice; the only band to ever receive this honor. The group is mostly known for their beautiful and intricate harmonies; however much of their fame has also been contributed to their cultural impact from their political activism and personal relationships.
The group’s first album which didn’t feature Neil Young was titled Crosby, Stills & Nash, and upon its release in May of 1969 it became an immediate hit. The album also had two Top 40 singles. Crosby, Stills & Nash was soon reformed to include Young and they began a nation-wide tour which included a stop at the Woodstock Festival. Their experience eventually turned into a hit single when the band recorded the Joni Mitchell song “Woodstock.” The group was known for their moving lyrics which included protest songs such as “Ohio,” which was a Top 20 hit about the Kent State Shootings of 1970. Even with this success behind them, the group reached broke up following their 1970 summer tour. During the breakup, each of the artists released their own studio albums.
Crosby, Stills and Nash eventually came back together before their induction to the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame without Young in 1997. Young eventually rejoined the group and in 2006, the quartet went out on one of their most famous tours the Freedom of Speech tour which again solidified the band as political activists. Although the group hasn’t recorded an album together since 1999; they are still dedicated to taking their music on the road and playing and singing live for audiences around the country. While they have yet to have a formal nation-wide tour since the Freedom of Speech tour, the band continues to do some live performances as eager fans wait for the opportunity to see them perform live.
