The American band Dispatch have been described as many things during their time as a group. This band has been called everything from a jam band to indie folk group to a band that uses rap rock and reggae fusion and everything in between. No matter what you want to call their unique and utterly indescribable sound there is no denying that Dispatch is one of the most innovative rock groups of modern music today. During the peak of their career the band was active from 1996 to 2002. After 2002 the group split up only coming together a few times for reunion concerts in 2004, 2007 and 2009. However once 2011 hit the group was unable to stay apart any longer and finally answered the demands of fans from the past 10 years and decided to head on the road for a national tour.
After announcing that they would be hitting the road to do an array of live performances the band also announced that they would be releasing a new EP that would contain six entirely new songs. This would be the first time that the band recorded new music together since 2000. The almost 12 year wait proved to be well worth it for fans as their EP was released to great commercial success. In fact the EP was so successful that the band then announced they would be releasing a full length album to coincide with their tour called “Circles Around the Sun.”
Their nation wide tour, which is slated to begin in fall of 2012 also boasts the “Circles Around the Sun” name as well. The band’s tour will be taking them around the country to some of the largest venues in the United States so they can give the fans that have been waiting years to gear new music from the group just what they have been waiting for. During this highly anticipated tour, fans can expect to hear some of the bands most classic hits as well as brand new selections from their latest album. Whether audiences are looking to hear the new music or some of the old hits there is no denying that this tour is promising to be well worth the wait of the thousands of Dispatch fans from around the country.
