Enrique Iglesias Tickets
As the son of famous Spanish singer, Julio Iglesias, Enrique Iglesias had big shoes to fill when he first appeared in the music market. However with over 100 million records sold world-wide he has managed to escape the shadow of his successful father and became one of the best selling Spanish artists of all time. With 16 Billboard Music Awards, five American Music Awards, a Grammy and seven World Music Awards all under his belt, there is no matching the success of this singer songwriter.
Enrique first crossed over into the American music industry in 2010 after some success in the Spanish speaking market. His first American album, titled Enrique, spawned the number one hit “Bailamos,” a song that not only topped the charts but was featured in the hit Will Smith movie Wild Wild West. The album also featured a duet with pop icon Whitney Houston and his second #1 single, “Be With You.”
While Enrique’s debut album was one of the most successful pop-albums to be released by a cross-over artist, his follow up record, Escape, proved to be an even bigger success in the American market. With some of the biggest singles of 2001 all coming from this album, the signer truly cemented his place as a pop icon. This album featured mega hits like “Hero,” “Escape,” and “Don’t Turn Off the Lights.” This album also sparked the “One-Night Stand World Tour” which visited 16 different countries and had 50 sold out shows. This tour included two sold out performances in Madison Square Garden; a feat very few artists have ever accomplished.
Since the wildly successful Escape album, Enrique has released four more albums, including a “Greatest Hits” album. He was received awards such as the World Music Awards recognition for “World’s Best Selling Latin Performer,” and “World’s Best Selling Spanish Artist.” His latest record, titled Euphoria won the Billboard Music Award for Top Latin Album and Album of the Year as well as a Latin Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. The album featured both Spanish and English tracks as well as collaborations with several R&B performers, including Akon and Usher. The success of Euphoria landed Enrique with the title of having more number-one dance singles than any other male artist. The record also spawned another world tour, deemed The Euphoria Tour.
