Journey Tickets
Formed back in 1973 in San Francisco, California, the rock band Journey quickly took the rock industry by storm and left an impression that would last for decades. While the band would eventually go on to release numerous chart-topping singles throughout their long career in the business; no song would match their hit song “Don’t Stop Believin” a song that is still the top-selling catalog track ever in iTunes History.
Throughout their time together, the band has had two gold albums, eight multi-platinum albums, including seven consecutive multi-platinum albums between 1978 and 1987. They have also had one diamond album and 18 Top 40 singles in the United States alone. Throughout their career they have sold 47 million albums in the United States, and 80 million records worldwide making them the 28th best selling band in history. Their songs continue to see mainstream success on rock stations around the country.
Although the band has had one of the most coveted careers in rock n’ roll, the boys of Journey still aren’t done performing. After reuniting in 1998 and replacing lead singer Steve Perry with Steve Augeri and replacing their drummer with Deen Castronovo, the band began releasing new songs, and while the name of the band was the same, the style of music was completely different; gaining the group even more followers. Even with the roster change, the band saw great success with their new lineup, with several albums reaching the top 20 spots on the Billboard 200 charts, and the 2011 album Eclipse reaching the number 13 spot on the charts.
In 2012, under another transformation, the band will come together once again to head on a nation-wide tour. This time, the lead singer position will be filled by Arnel Pineda, and the band will be performing new songs and old classics alike as they tour the country. The tour will include Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo and Loverboy and will take the band to some of the nation’s largest amphitheaters as the continue to rock n’ roll in the same way they did nearly four decades ago.
