Kiss Tickets
Throughout the history of Rock N’ Roll music, very few bands have revolutionized the genre quite like Kiss. Known as one of the most high-energy and over-the-top performers ever to take the stage, the band Kiss is back and better than ever as they embark on a 2012 tour of the United States. Fans that have adored the band for years, and new followers alike will get to see Kiss back in their full makeup and doing what they do best; playing rock music.
The now iconic band came together in New York in 1973, and by the late 1970’s became one of the most successful rock bands in the history of the genre. The group of performers created new characters for themselves named Catman, Spaceman, The Demon and Starchild and wore elaborate costumes, wigs and face makeup during public appearances. This effort was unlike anything rock n’ roll had seen before and gave the band instant recognition in the industry.
Together with the solo albums that band members released in 1978, Kiss has received 28 gold albums to date; meaning they have had more gold albums than any other rock band in the United States. With over 40 million albums sold in the United States alone and more than 100 million worldwide, there is no denying the success of this eccentric group of rockers. Although the original group; Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss broke up by 1980, they reunited in 1996 for a worldwide tour. Many other performers have entered and exited the line-up throughout the years, however the painted personas have consistently remained the same.
With their elaborate live performances which not only included the bands signature face paint but fire breathing, smoking guitars, fire and shooting rockets, there is much to be expected from the band’s latest tour. Although it has been decades since they first started performing the band is promising the same high-octane over the top performances that made them the legends they are today. In 2012 they will embark on “The Tour of 2012” where they will be joined with fellow rock legends Motley Crue for a 40 city, nationwide tour.
