Skid Row Tickets
American heavy metal band Skid Row, shot to fame in the late 1980s and 1990s and are still considered by many as one of the biggest heavy metal bans of their time. The group garnered a great deal of success during the heavy metal and hair band movement of the 1980s. The native New Jersey group had a sound all their own that was brought to life by lead singer Sebastian Bach. Once the band achieved their first taste of commercial success with their debut self titled album, their first three albums would go on to be certified multi-platinum. At the height of their success in the mid 1990s they had already sold 20 million albums worldwide, making them one of the most successful and profitable bands of the heavy metal movement.
The group is known for their over-the-top and larger than life performances, which first gained attention from fans when they opened for acts like Bon Jovi, Motley Crue and Aerosmith. Soon the band gained their own following and began playing to numerous sold out venues across the country. By the time their second album, Slave to the Grind was released, they were one of the biggest groups in heavy metal and their sophomore album debuted at the number one spot on the American charts. During that time the band went on a worldwide tour for more than a year which featured not only their wild and rowdy performances but the antics of lead singer Sebastian Bach, who was known for creating controversy with fans during nearly every performance.
The band toured with many other big name bands of the time including Van Halen and Guns and Roses and got a great deal of fan attention and critical acclaim for their heavy metal style. However, despite their success the group fired lead singer Sebastian Bach in 1996. He was eventually replaced by Johnny Solinger who still records with the band today/ Although there has been rumors that Bach will make a return to the band for several performances, Skid Row continues to tour around the world without their former lead singer. After Skid Row completed a highly-successful world tour with KISS, the band immediately embarked on a 2012 nation-wide tour that is set to last through the summer of 2012.
