The Wanted Tickets
When the British-Irish boy band The Wanted first came together in July of 2009 it was immediately clear that the world was ready for a boy band of their magnitude. The group mixed together the same formula that mad boy bands popular in the 1990s with a new modern ede and sound. Together, the group, which features members Max George, Nathan Skyes, Tom Park, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran, began captivating the hearts of teen girls and fans around the world. By the time the group released their debut album in July 2010 they were already a major hit around Europe, yet the release of their self titled record only catapulted the boys from The Wanted into further stardom.
When their first album was first released, it made it to the #4 spot on the UK charts. The Wanted’s first album also had three UK top 20 singles including “All Time Low,” “Heart Vacancy” and “Lose My Mind” and the album quickly became certified as Platinum in the UK. Hot of their successful first record the boys came out with their second album Battleground in November of 2011 to the same type of monumental success. The album itself made the top ten both in the UK and in Ireland and had singles such as “Gold Forever” that proved to be major hits for the boys. The Wanted then came out with songs such as “Warzone,” “Lightning” and “Glad You Came” from this record which was a #1 hit in the UK and one that would help get the boys the success they were looking for in the United States that would cement them as international superstars.
One “Glad You Came” was released in the United States it quickly sold over three million copies in the United States alone and hit the #3 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The Wanted instantly became huge stars in The United States and began mimicking the same success that they found in their home country. This success caused the group to get back into the studio to start recording new records and to prepare themselves to eventually hit the road with new material in order to bring their millions of adoring fans the full live experience that they have been looking for from these multi-talented boys.
