In just a few short years, the two-time Grammy Award winning band, the Zac Brown Band have become one of the most successful and well respected groups in music today. These multi-platinum artists not only have an array of awards to their name but have had a record-breaking nine consecutive #1 hit singles. The band was first started in Atlanta in 2004, as the brainchild of solo performer Zac Brown. After some local success and some self-released albums, the band finally broke into the popular music scene, and took the world of country music by storm in 2009.
After their major label debut record, titled the “The Foundaion” went double platinum and earned a spot on the Billboard’s Top 20 Albums of 2009, there was no stopping the success of this band and their unique southern-inspired sound. With nominations and awards from the ACM, AMA, CMA and CMT to go with their Grammy awards, these country crooners have truly made a name for themselves in just a few short years in the business.
Although the band has its roots in country music, their unique sound which combines rock and soul influences has made them appeal to a wide audience of listeners. The band, led by singer Zac Brown, has been taking their unique style on the road since they first entered the music scene and have performed with artists like Dave Matthews, Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson, they are hitting the road on their own in 2012 for a country-wide tour. The tour is scheduled to run from May through October, as the country boys from the Zac Brown band will take on some of the largest venues in the US.
