In just a few short years, English singer, songwriter and producer Ed Sheeran has taken the music industry by storm with his unique sound and fresh voice and musical style. After he moved to London in 2008 to pursue a music career he began playing 312 gigs, after being inspired by legendary musician James Morrison. Soon, he began taking over the independent music realm he started getting mainstream attention, until he was signed to Asylum/ Atlantic Records.

When Ed Sheeran began with Atlantic Records, he released his first single in 2011 “The A Team,” Ed Sheerna’s first official single. His hit charge debuted at the number three spot and continued to stay at the top of the charts after Sheeran released his first full album, titled “Lego House.” This debut album would go on to solidify Sheerna’s success after it went quadruple platinum in the United Kingdom. After an exciting first year in the industry, in 2012 Ed Sheeran went on to win two BRIT Awards for his work, including the award for Best British Male Solo Artist and the British Breakthrough of the Year.
With this first album, Ed Sheeran proved that his unique voice and his talents with the guitar are the perfect mixture to create a soothing pop/rock mixture of music. Although his sound is typically described as a mix folk and acoustic the young Sheeran is also known for experimenting with other styles of music especially in his engaging live performances. He has been known for adding rap and beat boxing to his hits and has done many unique adaptations of rape and r&b hits. While he is known for sampling different musical styles, many fans love Ed Sheeran’s music for his sweet and simple love songs that showcase the singer’s soothing voice.

In the fall of 2012 Sheeran will be hitting the road and perform live shows in North America, visiting numerous theaters, music halls and venues such as the House of Blues.
