Singer and songwriter Jason Mraz first came on the music scene in 2002, with his critically acclaimed album Waiting for My Rocket to Come. Although the album was praised many critics, it only had one hit single; the song “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry).” However, in 2005, he followed up the success of this hit single and proved that he could have longstanding commercial success and was more than a one-hit wonder, when he came out with his album Mr. A-Z. The success of Mr. A-Z was only a preview of things to come for the singer. Mraz followed this record with the wildly successful record We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. The album stayed on the Billboard charts for weeks and peaked at the number six spot. This record also contained the mega hit “I”m Yours” which stayed on the Top 100 list for a record-breaking 76 weeks. The song was so successful it got platinum certified five times and topped the charts in countries around the world. The single launched Mraz into superstardom and showed the world just how talented the singer and musician really is.
The singer’s 2012 album Love Is a Four Letter Word, also proved to have the potential for the same type of success as before the album was even released in May of 2012, the singer released a single from the record called “I Won’t Give Up,” which topped the iTunes chart and had great success on the radio. Throughout Mraz’s career he has been awarded with numerous Grammy Award nominations and has won two Grammy Awards for his work on “Make It Mine,” and “Lucky.” The singer has also achieved success thanks to his explosive live performances and successful global tours. In 2012, he is set to tour the world once again with his Tour is a Four Letter Word tour, which will feature singer Christina Perri on the North American leg. With great success behind him and a highly anticipated 2012 tour in front on him there is no denying that fans can expect to see continued success from the singer/songwriter in the future.
