Trey Songz Tickets
Tremaine “Trey” Aldon Neverson, known by his stage name of Trey Songz, is a rapper, record producer, and actor. Neverson is from Petersburg, Virginia; however, he moved around quite a bit as his father was in the military. Songz did not release his first material until 2004 when he released a handful of mixtapes under the pseudonym of the Prince of Virginia. In 2005, he released his debut album, I Gotta Make It. The single “Gotta Make It” featuring Twista, received quite a bit of radio airplay and reached the #87 position on the Billboard Hot 100. The album reached the #6 spot on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and the #20 spot on the Billboard 200.
2007 saw the release of his second studio album, Trey Day, which was released to great fanfare. The album debuted at the number 11 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, and was the number two album on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album also produced four singles: “Wonder Woman,” “Can’t Help But Wait,” “Last Time,” and “Missin’ You.” “Can’t Help But Wait,” the albums second single, was Songz’ highest charting single, peaking at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album garnered him a 2009 Grammy Award nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.
Ready came out in 2009, and was Songz’ major leap into the upper echelon of the music industry. The album peaked at the number three position on the Billboard 200, and reached the second spot on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. This was also Songz’ first Gold certified album. The album featured five singles, which reached the top-ten of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including “Say Aah” which reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100. Songz earned a Grammy Nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album. To promote the album, Songz headlined the 106 & Live tour, and toured in support of Jay-Z on his The Blueprint 3 Tour.
Songz released Passion, Pain & Pleasure in 2010, which was his second Gold certified album, and was his first album to top the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album featured the single “Bottoms Up” which reached triple Platinum status. His latest album, Chapter V, was Songz’ first album to reach the top spot on the Billboard 200, and featured three singles which charted in the top-ten of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including “Heart Attack” which was certified Gold.
