Wilco Tickets
The alternative rock band Wilco has been entertaining audiences with their unique sound since they first formed in 1994. Although the band has gone through numerous changes in their roster and had a number of different artists play under the Wilco name, the band’s sound has remained the same. They offer fans a unique blend of alternative rock, indie rock and alternative country music. Although they had a strong following for a few years, they didn’t get a great deal of media attention or commercial success until the controversial release of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, which they streamed live on their website much to the displeasure of their record companies. After garnering this type of attention, the album went on to be the groups most successful record to date.
After the success of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Wilco showed their fans that they were still ready to rock and release new music. The band came up with the album A Ghost is Born, in 2004. The album would win the band two Grammy Awards, including the coveted prize of winning Best Alternative Music Album for the year. This album solidified the band’s reputation in the industry as being some of the most innovative rockers in music today. They went on to get great Billboard Chart success with albums like Sky Blue Sky and their self-titled seventh album. The band also hit the road for several world-wide tours, released a live performance DVD and appeared on shows like The Late Show with David Letterman.
After achieving such success the band showed no signs of slowing down and recorded more albums and went back on the road for even more live tour events. Even with the ever changing faces in the Wilco lineup, the band is always known for their high energy performances and for playing long and sets that feature a number of different songs from their long list of successful albums. The summer of 2012 will mark another global tour for Wilco as they will head to large venues all around the world to perform for their adoring audiences. The tour will keep the band on the road through the fall of 2012 as they head out to prove to fans that even with years in the business, this group of rockers are still some of the most exciting live performers in the industry.
