The band Fleetwood Mac was founded in 1967 in London, England. They released their first album a year later under the same name. The album was mildly successful despite the fact that they didn?t release any singles. For their next album they decided to catapult their new found fame by releasing a pair of singles for radio airplay "Black Magic Woman" and "Need Your Love So Bad" which became instant hits. The next four years were the hardest for the band as they had to face a ton of infighting and strife. During these years they released three albums and made and were on the road nonstop. In 1974 the band and signed a major record deal with Warner Bros., shortly after they released their next album. After being together for so many years the band began to fight and this would require them to take some time off from each other and work on various side projects. The group did break up several times only to reunite and make more music. After disbanding, Mick Fleetwood slowly started to get back with his band mates and began making music. After showing up at a private party for the Kentucky Derby the band decided to give it a go and reunited for a live show on the Warner Brothers soundstage. This show would be released and titled The Dance. This 1997 live album would shoot Fleetwood Mac to the top of the charts for the first time in 15 years.
Recently it has been stated the band has been in the recording studio working on new material and that they will release "Rumours" and they will be hitting the road for a "Greatest Hits" tour sometime in the near future.
