Heart of Dallas Bowl Tickets
The Heart of Dallas Bowl is a nationally recognized Division I college football game that was formerly known as the TicketCity Bowl. The bowl game is held in the heart of Dallas, Texas at one of the most iconic stadiums in the entire state. This post-season bowl game was first played on January 1st, 2011 and was put in place to be the replacement for the Cotton Bowl, the former big name college football bowl game in Dallas, Texas and that was once held at the city’s Fair Park. This new bowl, deemed the Heart of Dallas Bowl will appear in 2013 under the sponsorship of PlainsCapital Bank. The Heart of Dallas Bowl was moved to the Cotton Bowl stadium, once the Cotton Bowl bowl game moved to the Dallas Cowboys football stadium in Arlington.
Although this bowl game is relatively new by college football standards, it is already becoming one of the most recognized in the league. The bowl game has conference tie in with both the Big Ten, Big 12 and Conference USA. In 2013 the matchup is slated to be between the Big Ten and the Big 12, in 2014 it will be between the Big Ten and Conference USA. From there the conference tie ins are currently undecided. This big name bowl game’s inaugural game featured the Northwestern Wildcats from the Big Ten and the Texas Tech Red Raiders of the Big 12 in what was one of the highest scoring and most exciting bowl games not only of the year, but in recent memory for many sports fans. This game featured a final score of 45-38 and had the Texas Tech Red Raiders pulling out a last minute victory.
This type of exciting college football matchup set the tone for the Heart of Dallas Bowl, which attempts to create big name games that will bring in a great deal of action to the stadium and to the entire city of Dallas. The teams who partake in this big steaks game are each rewarded with $1.2 million that they can give to their school to help support their universities and their football programs as well; making it a must attend game for all teams who are invited.
