Oregon St. Beavers History
The Oregon St. Beavers were established in 1893. They started their first season with a bang! Bill Bloss became the head coach of the team in 1893. The team finished their first season with 4 wins and a loss. They posted spectacular .800 winning percentage. Guy Kennedy was appointed as the head coach of the team for the following season. The team won 2 matches and lost one game. They finished the season with .667 winning percentage. After playing some mediocre season, the team bounced back in 1906. The head coach of the team was F. S. Norcross. He led the team to a record of 4-1-2. Success followed them in the following season, the team finished with 6-0. They observed their first undefeated season since 1897. The Oregon St. Beavers recreated the history in 1914. They finished the season with 7-0 under the leadership of head coach, E.J. Stewart. One of the bright spots of the team came in 1940. They made it to the Pineapple Bowl for the first time. The team battled with Hawaii and got victory over them by a score of 39-6. The Beavers have won 5 Conference titles since their formation. The Oregon St. Beavers play their home games at Reser Stadium.
