The Bank of the West Classic is a WTA sponsored tennis tournament that has been held annually in Palo Alto, California since 1971. The week long tournament is currently the oldest women’s only tournament in the world, making it a favorite for some of the game’s greatest female players. The Bank of the West Classic is traditionally held at the end of the July and serves as the first women’s tournament in the annual US Open Series, this makes it a popular tournament for fans to come and witness.
