New Orleans Saints Tickets
The professional NFL team, the New Orleans Saints have been leaders in the National Football League since they were first established in 1967. Founded by the city of New Orleans, John W. Mecon Jr. and David Dixon the team first came together and played in the Eastern Conference of the National Football league and played their home games at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans. By 1970 they had moved to the NFC and continue to be a dominating force in the National Football Conference.
Wearing their black and gold uniforms and being ushered in by the song “When the Saints Go Marching In” there is no ignoring the presence of the New Orleans Saints from the moment you see them. Although they had a rough first two decades in the league; and continued to struggle with play off contention for years later, they got their first playoff win in 2000. However, it was their play in the 2009 season that really brought the Saints to the level of success they are known for today. After the city of New Orleans was finally back on its feet after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina; the New Orleans Saints had a winning season of 13 wins and went on to win Super Bowl XLIV. A great deal of this success is often contributed to the success of the team’s franchise quarterback Drew Brees, often considered one of the most talented quarterbacks in football today.
Those who are looking to see the Saints live can find their home games at the team’s massive stadium in downtown New Orleans; deemed the Superdome. During Hurricane Katrina, the dome was used as an emergency area for flood survivors and was severely damaged and in need of extensive repairs. These repairs left the Superdome in a better condition than ever and is considered to be one of the most state-of-the-art arenas in professional sports today. Fans of the Saints can see them in this larger than life arena and hear the iconic playing of “When the Saints Go Marching In” whenever the Saints are in their home city of New Orleans.
