UFC 151 Tickets
UFC 151 is an upcoming mixed martial arts event being put on by the Ultimate Fighting Championship, or as it is more commonly known the UFC, on September 1, 2012. The bout is slated to take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be the 73rd UFC event to take place in Las Vegas. Thus far, the main event that has been announced is the Light Heavyweight Championship bout between Jon Jones and Dan Henderson.
As of now, four bouts have been announced. A bantamweight bout between Takeya Mizugaki and Jeff Hougland is scheduled first. Mizugaki holds a 15-7-2 record with five knockouts. Mizugaki is a one-time Cage Force Bantamweight champion. He comes into this bout having lost a unanimous decision to Chris Cariaso. Hougland comes in with a record of 10-5 with one knockout. Having come into the match with nine straight victories, Hougland lost his last bout to Yves Jabouin, his first defeat since 2003.
Up next is a lightweight bout between Michael Johnson and Danny Castillo. Johnson comes into the bout with a record of 11-6 with five knockouts. Johnson was a former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter, comes into the bout having won each of his last two bouts. Castillo comes in with a record of 14-4 with five knockouts. Castillo has won six of his past seven bouts and has lost only once since 2010.
A featherweight bout between Dennis Siver and Eddie Yagin comes next. Siver is 20-8 with five knockouts and is a two-time Knockout of the Night honoree. His opponent, Eddie Yagin, comes in at 16-5-1 with five knockouts. He is the former TPF Featherweight Champion, and comes into this bout fresh off a Fight of the Night victory over Mark Hominick at UFC 145.
For the main event of the evening, the Light Heavyweight Championship will go to the winner of challenger Dan Henderson and current light heavyweight titleholder Jon Jones. Henderson comes into the bout with a record of 29-8 with thirteen knockouts. Henderson is the former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion before vacating that title and moving over to the UFC. Henderson’s last bout was voted the 2011 Fight of the Year in his victory over Mauricio Rua in a unanimous decision. Jon Jones comes into the fight with a record of 16-1 with eight knockouts. Jones has not lost since his disqualification against Matt Hamill during The Ultimate Fighter. Jones was the youngest ever champion when he claimed the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in a victory over Mauricio Rua in UFC 128. Jones has since defended his title three times, twice garnering Fight of the Night honors
