After a successful career playing supporting roles in television and movies, Aziz Ansari quickly became one of the biggest names in comedy. The actor made a name for himself in shows like Parks and Recreation and Scrubs and in films like Funny People, I Love You Man and 30 Minutes or Less. The actor has also had live stand up shows air on Comedy Central and has hosted the MTV Video Music Awards. Now he not only has the world loving his characters, but he has audiences around the globe in stitches with his wildly popular stand up comedy show.
The actor and comedian has gone on three successful comedy tours and has released a CD/DVD of his comedy performances title Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening. With his quick tongue and his witty dialogue on celebrities and pop culture the comedian is able to reach audiences of all ages and types with his stand up comedy. In addition to his stand up shows that have been recorded for Comedy Central, Anzari heads out on the road and tours venues across the country delivering his delightful stand up comedy routine. Even with his impressive list of acting roles, Ansari’s comedy stand up routines continue to be his most successful ventures in entertainment yet.
After touring with other comedy acts, in the fall of 2008 Aziz Ansari went out on his own headlining tour called The Glow in the Dark Tour. The tour was one of the most successful stand up comedy acts at the time and lead to a CD/DVD special for the Comedy Central network. In 2010, Ansari went back on the road once again for his Dangerously Delicious tour. This tour took the comedian to theaters across the United States and even included appearances at the Bonaroo Music Festival and a show at the Warner Theater in Washington DC which was taped for a special to be released on the comedian’s website.
In March of 2012, Aziz Ansari announced that he would be once again on the road with a stand up comedy special. The tour which is called the Buried Alive tour which is heading out on the road for spring and summer of 2012. The tour is the most anticipated yet for the young comedian and will take him to some of the biggest venues in the country.
