Cirque du Soleil - Zarkana Tickets
Cirque du Soleil Zarkana is a touring show that will be shown seasonal at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City and at the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow. The show will also tour other cities too. June 2011, the show began previews at the Radio City Music Hall and premiered there a couple of weeks after the previews were shown.
Zarkana is a mixture of the words “bizarre” and “arcana.” The name refers to the strange atmosphere and aura of its place and inhabitants.
One of the obstacles of finding a place for Zarkana was a large enough space to accommodate a space as big as what Radio City Music Hall provides. The final decision was to have it at the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida. February 2010, the crew moved in and planned to only stay for a couple of months.
Zarkana is an acrobatic, rock opera show that blends the circus arts with a world where physical virtuosity rubs shoulders with the strange. It is a slightly twisted musical and acrobatic fantasy universe where the chaos and craziness give way to festivity until love is regained.
The story is about a magician in an abandoned theatre who lost his love and his magic ended up disappearing. The theatre is populated with a collection of off-the-wall characters and acrobats. As he begs and cries for the Gods to return her, he is plunged into a world of inhabited surreal creatures. The creatures are the Mutants who are determined to divert him from his quest of finding his love.
Zarkana’s expectations do wow the audience and to the max. The stunning visuals, the narrative and the general barrage of sight and sound are why people enjoy the Cirque shows. While the other shows’ acts are well structured, Zarkana is entirely ordinary. You can expect to see jugglers, acrobatics, trapeze articles, balancing acts, dancing and hear beautiful music. It is a peculiar love story experience with a crazy twist you don’t want to miss.
