This show centers around the story of a floundering British shoemaker who has his business saved by the likes of some new flamboyant clientele. The shoe owner, Charlie Price (as played by Stark Sands) needs to save his family’s show factory after the unexpected death of his father. These flamboyant clientele comes in the shaped of a fabulous and over the top drag performer known by Lola (played by Billy Porter). The duo is an unlikely pairing yet together they are able to revitalize the failing business and find a great deal of success.
However, this journey proves to be about more than just successful show marketing. Both men learn to step out of their father’s shadows as the story of Kinky Boots unfolds and they learn to not only accept themselves but to teach their entire community about the power of acceptance. With some of the biggest name Tony Award winning professionals in the business coming together for this one of a kind truly fabulous show, there is no denying that Kinky Boots is a must see for anyone looking for a laugh a minute comedy. By combining flamboyant costumes, beautiful set designs and of course plenty of pop music and dancing this production is sure to be a hit with audiences both young and old.
