Cirque du Soleil Mystère is an artistic performance without any boundaries by breaking down the barriers of theater, which first debut in 1993. It is about celebrating, music, acrobatics, dance and comedy; it is a unique style of circus entertainment. Originally in 1990, the show was thought to be about Greek and Roman mythology, but executives weren’t prepared to take a financial risk. By 1993, it has earned eight awards for “Best Production Show in Las Vegas” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The show features a cast of 75 different artists, and over 12 million people have witnessed the performance. In 2010 Mystère reached a record of the show being performed 8,000 times.
