The Jesus Christ Superstar is an early rock opera created by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. It is a musical completely sung reflecting the 70s. The musical features the well-known title song, "Superstar," and "I Don't Know How to Love Him," Mary Magdalene's Act I torch song which was subsequently recorded by Helen Reddy, Petula Clark, and many others. Also, featured is the Rock anthem Judas’ “Heaven on Their Minds” that will be played.

Jesus Christ Superstar tells the biblical story of Jesus Christ's final week of life. Over two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ was hailed as the messiah of Judea. They were nervous about losing their power; the Romans, with the help of Judas, found and arrested Jesus and crucified him. The story is told mainly from the perspective of Judas, who eventually betrays Jesus and turns him into the Roman authorities.
There is a scrolling LED banner that counts down the days for the audience giving them the feeling of watching the events unfold through a CNN like lens.
This modern day musical; Jesus wears the typical flowing white robes, bondage type costumes are worn during the Temple scene and Roman soldiers wear the look of heavy armor.
The musical is appropriate for children, as it is PG rated. The love triangle between Jesus, Judas and Mary is emphasized more in this production, but it is kept emotional and not physical. Near the end, Jesus is heard being whipped, but nothing is overtly graphic with the onstage violence scene.
