Charter One Pavilion Tickets
The Charter One Pavilion is one of the most unique structures and concert halls in the entire country and one that has been providing a venue for entertainment for fans from all over the midwest for years. Although it is technically a Chicago concert hall, what makes the Charter One Pavilion such a unique venue oos that it is actually a temporary structure. The pavilion is located on the Northerly Island area of Chicago, however, because the pavilion is on what is now a nature preserve, those behind the pavilion have made an agreement with the city of Chicago to maintain the island. This is why each spring the Charter One Pavilion is constructed on the island and is then disassembled each fall in time for the winter season.
Although the Charter One Pavilion only technically exists for part of the year, it is still one of the most recognized performance venues in all of Chicago. This outdoor amphitheater has been a popular attraction for Chicago residents since construction on the venue first began in 2005. It is corporately sponsored by the Charter One division of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and is considered to be of architectural significance to the city because of its temporary structure and the amount of work it takes to construct and reconstruct the massive pavilion each and every year.
Once set up, the Charter One Pavilion can seat 7,500 people comfortably and brings in a number of different concert acts and family entertainment shows. In addition to hosting smaller performances, the Charter One Pavilion has also brought it a number of big name acts as well. The pavilion’s unique backdrop which features breathtaking views of Lake Michigan has also made it a popular place to film DVD specials for many artists. Incubus’s DVD Look Alive was filmed at this location in 2007. In 2009, O.A.R. recorded their album and an accompanying video for Rain or Shine at the Pavilion as well. Later on that year Jason Mraz did his own live concert DVD called “Beautiful Mess-Live on Earth” at the Charter One Pavilion. With its beautiful surroundings and unique history there is no denying that is Chicago venue is truly a one of a kind theater and it is easy to see why many artists flock to the chance to perform at this structure.
