Located in the city of Boston is the famed Fenway Park baseball field. This field has been known for hosting the home games of the Boston Red Sox, one of the most popular MLB baseball teams in the sport, and has been a fixture in the city of Boston for more than 100 years. While 2012 brought in the 100th year for Fenway Park it also brought in the breaking of a MLB record as well. In July of 2012 the Red Sox have managed to have 760 consecutive home game sell outs; the longest streak in MLB history and all of which have taken part at the famous Fenway Park. In 2012 Fenway Park was also added to the National Register of Historic Places.
Even though it is most famous for being the 100 year home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park has also hosted numerous other professional sporting and cultural events as well. This includes professional football games for both the Boston Patriots and the Boston Redskins, soccer games, hockey games, political rallies and numerous concerts. Since the venue is seen as such a staple in the city of Boston and one of the most significant buildings in the city, all types of productions are typically anxious for the chance to host an event in the famed Fenway Park.
