The House of Blues is a chain of 13 unique live music concert venues and restaurants that can be found throughout the United States in several major markets. The first location of the House of Blues was in Harvard Square in Cambridge and was the brainchild of Hard Rock Cafe co-founder Isaac Tigrett and Blue Brothers star Dany Aykroyd. Currently, there are locations in Orlando, Cleveland, Myrtle Beach, Chicago, Atlantic City, Boston, New Orleans, Las Vegas, West Hollywood, San Diego, Anaheim, Dallas and Houston. There was also a temporary location constructed in downtown Atlanta, Georgia across from Centennial Olympic Park that was put in just for the 1996 Summer Olympics, but shut down quickly afterwards. There are also plans to construct a House of Blues in Philadelphia.
