As the home stadium of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles the Lincoln Financial Field is one of the most recognized and cherished spaces in all of Philadelphia. When it was originally constructed Lincoln Financial Field, like the Veterans Field, had a built in jail for unruly fans. However, this jail has been done away with in recent years.
When at maximum capacity Lincoln Financial Field can hold 68,532 fans seated ant 69,144 with Standing Room Only tickets. Although it is primarily known for hosting the Eagles home games, Lincoln Financial Field has also hosted a number of other events as well. The Army-Navy football game is usually held at the stadium, and Temple University’s Division I college football team also uses the arena for their home games. The Philadelphia Union, the city’s MLS soccer team is also allowed to play exhibition games at the stadium in instances where their home field can not provide enough seating.
