Found inside the MGM Grand hotel in Paradise, Nevada is one of the most unique venues in the greater Las Vegas Valley area. This unique venue was actually modeled after New York’s Madison Square Garden. It is also one of the biggest venues in the area as it can hold 16,800 people with each performance. Since it first opened in 1993, the MGM Grand Garden Arena, along the Las Vegas Boulevard South and is owned by MGM Resorts International.
During its time as an arena that MGM Grand Garden Arena has not only hosted a number of big concerts but is most known for being the home of the Billboard Music Awards. Most years this major music award ceremony is held right in the MGM Grand Garden Arena and the popularity of this venue has caused a number of other big events to be held at the MGM Grand as well. The Andre Agassi Grand Slam for Children Benefit and the VH1 Divas Las Vegas shows are also held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. This venue is also home to the American Country Music Awards and the American Country Awards.
However, unlike many of the surrounding venues the MGM Grand Garden Arena also hosts sporting events. It is known for hosting a number of boxing, wrestling and pay-per-view fighting events. This arena was also home to the Las Vegas Dustdevils, the city’s indoor soccer team, for a year. The Los Angeles Kings also use the venue as their pre-season home game venue as well. However, for most fans the biggest draw of the MGM Grand Garden Arena is the concerts. During the past decades some of the biggest performers in the history of music have come to the massive arena for tours. This includes performers such as Britney Spears, U2, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, The Bee Gees, Barbara Streisand and more.

The interior of the MGM Grand Garden Arena can hold around 16,800 fans for most events and is known for hosting some of the most over the top performances in music and entertainment today.
