Pepsi Center Tickets
The Pepsi Center located in downtown Denver, Colorado, is known by many names and for many purposes, yet for many this center, often affectionately known as “The Can” is often most recognized as being the home of the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche. The Nuggets, the city’s NBA basketball team play their home games at the arena, which can be transformed into an ice hockey arena when needed for the city’s NHL team, the Colorado Avalanche to host their home matches. The Pepsi Center is also home to the city’s National Lacrosse League Team; the Colorado Mammoth.
The center, which is sponsored by PepsiCo, was constructed as part of the city’s massive six-year upgrade plan which was created to help bring a set of new sporting facilities to the Denver area. Along with the creation of the Pepsi Center both Coors Field and the Sports Authority Field at Mile High were created to help bring new life to the city’s professional sports teams. The Pepsi Center lead the way in this new city-wide renovation and first broke ground in 1997. After two years of construction, the Pepsi Center officially opened to the public with a massive Celine Dion concert.
While this concert brought a number of fans to the arena, this could not match the excitement of the Denver Nuggets fans who were anxiously awaiting a new arena for the basketball team. Inside the Pepsi Center, there is not only a massive central performance area but a practice facility designed specifically for the Nuggets. Also, guests of the arena fill find a restaurant known as the Blue Sky Grill which can be accessed from both inside and outside of the Pepsi Center. Inside there is also a massive atrium center of the building that is home to numerous professional sports sculptures of both hockey and basketball players in action.
However, even with all of these amenities, for Denver fans the center is all about being in on some of the city’s best sports action. For home Denver Nuggets games, more than 19,100 fans can be seated inside the arena. For both hockey and lacrosse games the arena can seat over 18,000. When special events and concerts find their way to the Pepsi Center however, fans can expect seating for more than 20,000 excited fans.
