Staples Center Tickets
Found in the downtown area of Los Angeles, California is the Staples Center, a multi-purpose sports arena known for hosting some of the biggest events in all of Hollywood. This center is found next to the Los Angeles Convention Center complex and is one of the major sporting facilities in the Greater Los Angeles area. Since it opened in October of 1999 the Staples Center has been home to many sporting events and is currently the home of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers both of the National Basketball Association (NBA). In addition to these two team the Staples Center also hosts the home games of the Los Angeles Kings, the city’s NHL team and the WNBA team the Los Angeles Sparks.
In addition to hosting many of the major sporting events held in the city of Los Angeles, the Staples Center also hosts more than 250 events every year and averages over 4,000,000 guests annually. The Staples Center is often seen as the center for entertainment in the Los Angeles area. The arena can seat over 19,000 fans for basketball and 18,000 fans for ice hockey game. When it hosts arena football games it can hold around 18,000 fans as well. What makes the center so unique is not only that the Staples Center is one of the busiest venues in the country but that a majority of the seating in the center is in the lower bowl. In fact, 2/3 of the arena including the 2,500 club seats in the Staples Center are located in the lower bowl of the arena. The center also boasts 15 private event suites and 160 luxury suites as well.
During its time as an arena the Staples Center has not only hosted events in the sporting world by other big events as well including the 2000 Democratic National Convention, the Latin Grammy Awards, HBO Championship Boxing Matches, WWE Events and the MTV Video Music Awards. The center has also hosted some of the biggest musical events in the world as well including performances from Taylor Swift, Beyonce, John Mayer and Michael Jackson, proving there is no limit to the type of entertainment provided by the Staples Center.
